
Dak Ganjeong - Fried Crispy Chicken with Honey Soy Sauce
INGREDIENTS
Crispy Chicken
- 600g chicken thigh
- 1/2 cup corn starch
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 Tbsp pineapple juice
- 2 Tbsp onion juice
- Salt and pepper
Honey Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 5 Tbsp honey
- 3 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1/3 cup pineapple juice
- 1 Tbsp hot sauce
- 1 Tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
PROCEDURE
- Cut chicken thigh into bite-sized pieces and marinate with 2 Tbsp pineapple juice, onion juice. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix the flour and corn starch well then coat the chicken.
- Deep fry chicken twice to make it crispy.
- Oil the pan with 1Tbsp of vegetable oil and saute the minced garlic.
- Add all remaining ingredients for the sauce then boil down over medium heat.
- When the sauce has reduced to half, add chicken to the sauce.
- Toss it quickly and sprinkle sesame seeds.
- Serve and enjoy with beer.
